This year I took time out to go to the 8th Annual Roots Picnic at Festival Pier in Philadelphia. The day kicked off with Donn T & Marc E. Bassy on the Oasis and Harbor Stages, with King Britt, Afrika Bambaataa, & DJ Mustard rounding up the DJ sets. I found myself at the Pier Stage enjoying the music of the energetic hit makers Rae Sremmurd & the reggae talent Chronixx. With the sun setting and the cool breeze the night ended with A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd, & closing down the stage was The Roots with Erykah Badu. Out of everyone I shot yesterday my favorite shots came during the set of A$AP Rocky. His energy resonated with the crowd the moment he hit the stage performing various songs from his catalog, such as 'Wild For the Night', 'Goldie', classic A$AP such as 'Peso', to newly released 'Lord Pretty Flaco Jodie 2'.
